World Vision Hong Kong supported 3 APs to improve the environment for children to thrive, and empower community members to be resilient, in order that they would become self-sufficient and be free from the poverty trap.
Child Protection (including 1 other project)

Nearly 3,120 adolescents and young people trained on children rights, leadership and public policies, and actively participated in self-led children’s groups.

Around 2,630 girls, boys and adolescents actively participated in social actions including diverse dialogue forums and marches, exercising their rights to lead a healthy life and full coexistence.

Trained nearly 700 parents, caregivers and leaders on positive discipline to promote behavioural change that improve emotional relations in the family, and enhance the development of children’s potential.

Over 170 children and adolescents participated in holiday workshops in art, sports and emergency response, preparing them to act in emergency situations, allowing them to enjoy health and recreation, play while ensuring safety and protection, as well as minimising their risk from exposure to the internet.
Education

Trained over 1,080 adolescents and young people on topics such as life skills, entrepreneurship, employability and citizenship.

Trained around 870 adolescents and young people on relationship, gender issues, puberty, consent, sexual and reproductive health.

Supported around 650 girls and boys to improve reading skills and comprehension through the implementation of Unlock Literacy.
Health and Nutrition

Trained and supported around 240 parents and caregivers through Go Baby Go training, strengthening actions that lead to improving the cognitive, physical and emotional development of girls and boys under 2.
Livelihoods

Trained over 370 families on savings and development of sustainable livelihoods. Supported the certification of the trained families as agro-ecological producers, as they committed to continue carrying out actions in favour of children’s wellbeing.
