Global 6K for Water — Registration for the Hong Kong event is NOW OPEN!
Did you know? Worldwide, 2.1 billion people still lack access to safely managed drinking water^. Countless children and women are forced to walk an average of 6 kilometres every single day just to fetch water. Not only is this water often contaminated and hazardous to their health, but the grueling journey also deprives children of their precious time in school.
In response, World Vision launched the global charity event Global 6K for Water in 2015 — a movement dedicated to raising funds to build water infrastructure in water-scarce regions, delivering clean water and renewed hope to impoverished children across the globe. Spanning the Americas, Europe, and Asia, Hong Kong proudly joined this meaningful journey in 2024.
This year’s Asia series has kicked off with immense enthusiasm in Taiwan and Korea, with Japan and other regions following suit. Hong Kong will take the baton in January 2027 with an exciting upgrade! On top of our core categories and a free-admission carnival, we are thrilled to introduce the "6km Jerrycan Team Race", the "1km Dog Fun Walk", and the brand-new "Paws for Water: Charity Dog Agility Competition"!
Whether you are young or old, a student or teacher, a corporate team or a proud pet parent — there is a place for everyone. We warmly invite you to join us and run for children who desperately need clean water!
