1.1 This event is organised by World Vision Hong Kong (the “Organiser”), with online registration and payment support provided by the designated third-party platform, Symbol Of Alliance Limited (“SOA”).
1.2 Any person who submits a registration application or participates in the event is deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 The Organiser reserves the right to amend, supplement or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version published on the official event website shall take effect from the date of publication.
1.4 In the event of any inconsistency between the Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
1.5 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions and shall have the final decision in any dispute.
1.6 The meaning of the words used in these terms and conditions:
- 1.6.1 “Participant" means a person who has successfully registered for and completed payment for the event;
- 1.6.2 “Dog Owner" includes the registered keeper of the dog, the person having actual custody or control of the dog, and any person authorized by the Dog Owner to bring the dog to participate in the event;
- 1.6.3 “Dog Activities" means "Paws for Water: Charity Dog Agility Competition" and “1 km Dog Fun Walk”.

2.1 Event quotas are limited; registration applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until full. The Organiser reserves the right to close registration early without prior notice. Participants must satisfy the age requirements of their respective categories (age is calculated as of the day of the event).
2.2 Participants under 18 must obtain parental/legal guardian consent and provide the guardian’s name and contact phone number at the time of registration, to confirm that the guardian has read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of the Event and has authorised the underage participant to register for and take part in the event.
2.3 All participants under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult participant when participating in the event. Participants under 12 without adult accompaniment will be ineligible to participate. Accompanying parents or guardians must register as event participants to ensure complete records and compliance with event specifications.
2.4 Any person bringing a dog to participate in the dog events must be a registered dog owner who is at least 18 years of age or an adult authorized by the dog owner. Each dog must be always accompanied and supervised by one adult.
2.5 Participants must ensure that all information provided during registration is true, accurate, and complete. The Organiser reserves the right to reject any registration containing false information, incomplete payment, or failure to follow proper registration procedures.
2.6 Registration is complete only upon receipt of full fees and required documents.
2.7 All paid registration fees, donations, and add-on merchandise purchases are non-refundable.
2.8 The online payment system utilises SSL encryption technology to protect credit/debit card information and ensure secure data transmission.
2.9 The Organiser reserves the right to limit, refuse, or cancel any registration, as well as the right to contact applicants to verify or clarify registration details.
2.10 Once an application is accepted, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The Organiser will issue a confirmation notice within three working days of receiving the registration. 2.11 Duplicate registrations for the same event will be treated as a single registration; any duplicate registration fees paid shall not be refunded and non-transferable.
2.12 Late or on-site registrations will not be accepted.
2.13 The Organiser reserves the final right to reject any person who is ineligible or in violation of these terms from participating, without offering any explanation.

3.1 Participants must accept and comply with the Organiser's event rules, conditions, and regulations.
3.2 Participants must participate in accordance with the age requirements, categories, start time and other regulations of each event. Violators will be disqualified immediately and required to leave the route / event venue.
3.3 If a participant causes the Organiser to incur additional expenses during the event due to any act, fault, or intentional damage, reasonable compensation must be made to the Organiser.
3.4 Participants acknowledge that participation in the event is entirely voluntary and may involve risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, accidents, death, loss of property, traffic incidents, adverse weather conditions, contact with other participants or dogs, and other unforeseen risks. Participants agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to assume all risks and responsibilities arising from or in connection with their participation in the event. Participants shall have no right to make any claim against, or hold liable, the Organiser, event management company, sponsors, or partners for any personal injury, accident, death, or loss of any kind arising from travel to or from the event venue, participation in the event, or any other cause.
3.5 The Organiser reserves the right to retain, add, modify, and interpret any rules and notices; any amendments will be subject to announcements on the official event website.
3.6 Notification regarding race pack collection will be sent to participants via email three to four weeks before the event. When collecting the race pack, please present the email (printed or electronic version) to staff for identity verification. If you are unable to collect it within the specified time, you may authorise a relative or friend to collect it on your behalf; the representative must present this email (printed or electronic version) upon collection, but no written authorisation is required.
3.7 Event eligibility, bibs, and timing chips belong exclusively to the applicant personally and are strictly prohibited from being exchanged, sold, or transferred to others.
3.8 Participants must keep their bibs properly; the Organiser will not reissue bibs.
3.9 During the event, participants must clearly display their bib on their chest.
3.10 Participants must enter the designated starting area for each category on time to await arrangements; otherwise, they will be disqualified.
3.11 Participants must not harass or obstruct other participants in conducting the event/competition. Violators will be disqualified and requested to leave the relevant event venue.
3.12 Participants in competitive categories must start at the designated time, in the designated category, and follow the designated route. Cheating, impersonation, unauthorized exchange or transfer of race bibs, use of any unapproved assistive devices (except prosthetic limbs), or any conduct that may compromise the fairness of the competition is strictly prohibited.
3.13 Participants requiring medical assistance may inform staff on-site.
3.14 Participants must not commit the following acts during the event. Violators will be disqualified immediately, required to leave the event premises as instructed, and may be reported to law enforcement agencies:
- 3.14.1 Displaying any slogans, clothing, flags, or items containing political, religious, discriminatory, hateful, violent, or obscene content is strictly prohibited;
- 3.14.2 Using any equipment or device that may obstruct the conduct of the event or endanger the safety of others, including but not limited to roller skating equipment, unauthorized vehicles or means of transportation, or oversized objects, is strictly prohibited;
- 3.14.3 Carrying dangerous items including offensive weapons, flammable or explosive materials, or objects that may obstruct, interfere with, or pose a risk to other participants, is strictly prohibited;
- 3.14.4 Engaging in any act of violence, harassment, intimidation, public nuisance, damage to venue facilities, or any other unlawful conduct is strictly prohibited.
3.15 In case of emergencies or when necessary, participants must immediately leave designated areas (not limited to the race route, starting area, finishing area and event venue) as instructed by the Race Director, referees, event staff, medical personnel, or security personnel.
3.16 The Organiser will provide a complimentary one-time baggage deposit service on the event Day. The service will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., subject to the arrangements announced on the event day. Any baggage not collected within the designated collection period may be disposed of by the Organiser.
3.17 Participants must use the baggage tag provided by the Organiser for identification. The Organiser will not distribute any baggage tags on the event day.
3.18 The On-site baggage storage provided by the Organiser is offered solely as a convenience to participants. Participants must safeguard their personal belongings and refrain from storing valuable items. The Organiser assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of stored or personal valuables.
3.19 The Organiser encourages participants to bring their own water bottles to reduce plastic consumption.
3.20 Participants are requested to keep the venue clean, take away their own litter, or discard litter into recycling bins.
3.21 Participants who bring dogs to participate in the dog events must comply not only with the provisions of this Section, but also with Section 7, "Dog Events Terms and Conditions".
3.22 The Organiser holds final and binding decision-making authority over all event arrangements, race results, and interpretation of terms.

4.1 The Organiser reserves the right, without prior notice, to modify, shorten, divide into stages, reroute, or cancel any racecourse before or during the event, where necessary due to actual road conditions, traffic arrangements, venue constraints, public safety considerations, emergencies, government requirements, or any other circumstances deemed necessary.
4.2 If emergency vehicles must use part of the race route during the competition to handle emergency situations as quickly as possible, the Organiser may temporarily suspend, change or cancel the race.
4.3 In any emergency situation, participants must follow instructions issued by on-site staff or law enforcement officers.
4.4 If the event venue, racecourse, or related facilities are deemed unsuitable for use due to safety concerns, weather conditions, traffic arrangements, government directives, or any other reason, the Organiser reserves the right to change the event venue, route, schedule, or format.

5.1 All awards are conferred based on Organiser Time (Gun Time). Personal time is for participant reference only.
5.2 Prior to receiving awards, participants must present identity documents to the Organiser for name verification.
5.3 The Organiser will announce the winners of the various prize categories for each race category on-site on the event Day. Any Participant wishing to lodge an appeal against the results must submit a completed appeal form at the Results Announcement Counter at the Main Stage within 15 minutes after the official announcement of the results and pay a deposit of HKD100 as the appeal fee.
5.4 If an appeal is unsuccessful or withdrawn, the deposit shall not be refunded. The Organiser reserves the right not to accept or consider any dispute, objection, or appeal submitted after the prescribed deadline.
5.5 In case of any dispute regarding awards and rankings, the Organiser reserves the right to final decision.
5.6 Non-winning participants who have objections to personal results must submit them in writing within 7 days after results are published on the Organiser's official website.
5.7 All participants who finish in their respective races and categories (completed within Organiser Time) will be issued an electronic result certificate. Participants who fail to start at the designated start time and registered category, or fail to complete the event, will not receive any awards or certificates.

6.1 The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, shorten, or change the format of the event if affected by government policy, severe weather, natural disasters, infectious diseases, or other unexpected incidents.
6.2 If the event is announced as canceled, postponed, or altered due to any of the above severe weather conditions, force majeure factors, or unexpected incidents, all paid registration fees and donations will be non-refundable. Remaining funds after deducting costs will be fully allocated to support World Vision's water projects in Africa.
6.3 Severe Weather Arrangements:
- 6.3.1 If the Hong Kong Observatory issues any of the following warning signals, or if the government makes a relevant announcement at or after 8:00 am on January 9, 2027, the event will be canceled:

• 6.3.1.1 Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above
• 6.3.1.2 Black Rainstorm Warning Signal
• 6.3.1.3 Government announcement of "Extreme Conditions"

- 6.3.2 If the Hong Kong Observatory issues any of the following warning signals at or after 00:00 am (event Day) on January 10, 2027, the event will be canceled:

• 6.3.2.1 Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above
• 6.3.2.2 Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal

6.4 Apart from the conditions specified above, if the Organiser assesses that the prevailing weather condition is unsuitable for continuing the event, it reserves the right to exercise discretion to cancel, postpone, or adjust event arrangements according to actual circumstances.
6.5 For the latest announcements, updates, and arrangements relating to the event, participants shall refer to the Organiser’s website, Facebook and Instagram.

7.1 Scope of Application
- 7.1.1 This Section applies to all participants and dog owners who bring dogs to participate in the "Paws for Water: Charity Dog Agility Competition" and "1 km Dog Fun Walk".
- 7.1.2 By bringing a dog into the event venue, starting area, racecourse, finishing area, refreshment station, or any other designated event area, the dog Owner acknowledges that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the provisions of this Section, the Dog Activities rules announced on the event day, venue regulations, and any instructions given by event staff.
- 7.1.3 Dogs do not have the capacity to enter into contractual obligations. All registrations, consents, declarations, undertakings, and responsibilities relating to a dog shall be made and assumed by the Dog Owner on behalf of the dog.
7.2 Eligibility of Dogs
- 7.2.1 Dogs participating in the dog events must be at least five months old, in good health, and fit to participate in the relevant activity.
- 7.2.2 Dog Owners must not bring any dog into the event area or permit any dog to participate in the dog events if the dog falls within any of the following categories:

• Dogs suffering from any contagious disease, skin disease, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, or any other condition that may endanger the health of other dogs or persons.
• Dogs showing signs of fever, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, breathing difficulties, lameness, obvious pain, excessive fatigue, or any other abnormal symptoms.
• Dogs that are in season or otherwise undergo their estrus cycle.
• Dogs with a history of serious attacks on humans or other animals, or where the dog owner knows or ought reasonably to know that the dog's behavior may pose a danger to any person or animal.
• Dogs that are unsuitable for running, walking, jumping, climbing, or other physical activities.
• Dog owners must independently assess their dog's health, fitness, age, temperament, and behavior at the time of registration and again on the event day. If in doubt, the dog owner should consult a registered veterinary surgeon before registration.
• Dog owners must ensure that their dogs comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Hong Kong, including requirements relating to dog licensing, microchipping, rabies vaccination, leash control, muzzling, and any other applicable obligations.
• The Organiser reserves the right to require a dog owner to provide or produce the dog's particulars, license, microchip records, vaccination records, health certificate, or other relevant documentation. If the dog owner fails to provide the required information or documentation, the Organiser may refuse the dog entry to or participation in the event without any obligation to refund the registration fee, donation, or any other fees paid.

7.3 Registration and Responsibilities of Dog Owners
- 7.3.1 Each dog must be under the care and supervision of one registered adult participant, who shall accompany the dog throughout its participation in the dog events.
- 7.3.2 Each dog owner may bring and handle only one dog for participation in the dog events.
- 7.3.3 Dog owners must provide true, accurate, and complete information at the time of registration, including:

• The dog's name, breed, age, and sex;
• The dog owner's name and contact details;
• Information relating to the dog's health and behavior;
• Emergency contact information; and
• Any other information reasonably required by the Organiser for event safety, risk management, or operational purposes.

- 7.3.4 Dog owners must ensure that their dogs remain under their direct control and within their sight at all times. Dogs must not be left unattended at the event venue, starting area, finishing area, refreshment stations, rest areas, or any other location.
- 7.3.5 Dog owners must not leave their dogs in the sole care of any person under the age of 18, nor permit any child to be solely responsible for leading, handling, or controlling a dog.
- 7.3.6 Where the Organiser, judges, event staff, veterinarians, animal care personnel, medical personnel, security personnel, or venue management staff reasonably consider that the safety of a dog or any person may be at risk, the dog owner must immediately cease participation and, upon instruction, remove the dog from the racecourse or any part of the Event area.
7.4 Leashes and Safety Equipment
- 7.4.1 Dogs must be securely restrained by a suitable leash at all times while within the event area and must be kept under the firm control of the dog owner.
- 7.4.2 Having regard to crowd density, racecourse conditions, and safety requirements, the length of any leash used during the event must not exceed 1.5 meters.
- 7.4.3 In addition to being leashed, dogs weighing 20 kilograms or more must wear an appropriate muzzle in accordance with the Organiser's event safety requirements. This requirement does not affect the dog owner's obligation to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- 7.4.4 If a dog is classified under Hong Kong law as a specified dog, dangerous dog, or any other dog subject to special control requirements, the dog owner must comply with all applicable statutory requirements relating to leashing, muzzling, licensing, registration, and any other legal obligations. Any dog that does not satisfy such requirements shall not be permitted to participate in the event.
- 7.4.5 Dog owners must not use any collar, leash, training device, or other equipment that may cause strangulation, choking, injury, puncture wounds, or unnecessary pain or suffering to a dog.
- 7.4.6 Dogs must not wear any accessory that may become caught on obstacles, endanger other dogs, or otherwise compromise the safety of the event. Dog owners must remove any unsuitable items upon the instruction of event staff.
7.5 Paws for Water: Charity Dog Agility Competition
- 7.5.1 Charity Dog Agility Competition involves running, jumping, passing through, climbing, maneuvering around, or completing other designated obstacles. Dog owners must ensure that their dogs are in suitable health and physical condition to participate in such activities.
- 7.5.2 Dog owners must complete registration, warm-up, inspection, grouping, and entry procedures at the times specified by the Organiser.
- 7.5.3 Dog owners and their dogs must complete the obstacles in the prescribed order and along the designated course and must not intentionally obstruct other participants or dogs.
- 7.5.4 Participants must not skip, move, alter, damage, or otherwise use any obstacle equipment in an unauthorized manner without the prior approval of a judge or event staff member.
- 7.5.5 No tool, equipment, or method that pulls, pushes, drags, forces, or otherwise compels a dog to pass through an obstacle may be used in the Charity Dog Agility Competition.
- 7.5.6 If a dog exhibits signs of fear, reluctance, lameness, pain, excessive panting, loss of balance, excessive fatigue, or any other indication of distress or discomfort, the dog owner must immediately stop the activity and notify event staff.
- 7.5.7 Dog owners must not, for the purpose of achieving a faster completion time, ranking, or prize, force a dog to continue running, jumping, or engaging in activities beyond its physical capabilities.
- 7.5.8 All matters relating to timing, rankings, completion status, re-runs, and disqualification in the Charity Dog Agility Competition shall be governed by the race rules announced on the event day and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final.
- 7.5.9 If a dog fails to complete any obstacle or the entire course, no refund, re-run, credit, or other compensation shall be provided unless otherwise determined by the Organiser in its sole discretion.
7.6 1 km Dog Fun Walk
- 7.6.1 The 1 km Dog Fun Walk is a recreational and charity-focused walking activity and is not a competitive race. Participants and their dogs must follow the route, schedule, and direction of travel specified by the Organiser.
- 7.6.2 Dog owners must maintain a safe distance from other participants and dogs at all times and take reasonable precautions to prevent leashes from becoming entangled with other persons or dogs.
- 7.6.3 Participants must not abruptly stop, move against the designated direction of travel, run, push, collide with others, or engage in any conduct that may obstruct or inconvenience other
- 7.6.4 If a dog displays signs of anxiety, fear, excessive barking, jumping at people, chasing behavior, aggression, or any other behavior that may pose a risk to persons, other dogs, or the surrounding environment, the dog owner must immediately remove the dog from crowded areas and comply with any instruction from event staff to leave the activity route.
- 7.6.5 Dog owners are responsible for ensuring that their dogs receive adequate water and rest, having regard to weather conditions, ground conditions, the duration of the activity, and the individual condition of the dog.
- 7.6.6 Dog owners must not force their dogs to run continuously for the purpose of achieving a faster completion time, nor permit their dogs to engage in activities that exceed the dogs' health, fitness, or physical capabilities.
7.7 Interactions Between Dogs, and Between People and Dogs
- 7.7.1 Participants must not allow their dogs to approach, make contact with, play with, or be fed by other dogs without the prior consent of the other dog owner.
- 7.7.2 Dog owners must take reasonable steps to prevent dogs from pulling at, chasing, fighting with, or becoming excessively excited around other dogs. In the event of any dispute, altercation, or conflict between dogs, the dog owner must immediately regain control of the dog in a safe manner and notify event staff.
- 7.7.3 Participants and children must not touch, hug, feed, pull, or otherwise interact with another person's dog without permission. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times when interacting with dogs.
- 7.7.4 If a dog displays growling, baring of teeth, aggressive barking, lunging at persons, retreating behavior, raised hackles, or any other behavior that may indicate anxiety, fear, distress, or aggression, the dog owner must not allow the dog to continue approaching other persons or dogs.
- 7.7.5 Dog owners must ensure that their dogs do not create excessive noise or cause nuisance, annoyance, distress, danger, or disruption to other persons, dogs, or the event.
7.8 Cleanliness and Environmental Hygiene
- 7.8.1 Dog owners must carry an adequate supply of waste bags, sealable bags, tissues, cleaning materials, and water for cleaning purposes.
- 7.8.2 Dog owners must immediately clean up after their dogs and properly bag and dispose of all dog waste in designated rubbish bins or dog waste collection bins.
- 7.8.3 If a dog urinates within the event venue, the dog owner must, where reasonably practicable, use their own water supply to rinse and clean the affected area.
- 7.8.4 Dog owners must not dispose of dog waste, food packaging, wet wipes, or any other litter on the racecourse, grassy areas, drainage facilities, or in any refuse receptacle not designated for such waste.
- 7.8.5 Dog owners must comply with all venue rules regarding areas accessible to dogs, restaurants, indoor premises, and any other restrictions applicable to the event venue. Guide dogs and dogs performing duties in accordance with applicable law shall be treated in accordance with relevant legal requirements and venue arrangements.
7.9 Dog Health, Injury and Emergencies
- 7.9.1 Veterinary or animal care support may be available at the event venue. The nature, location, and operating hours of such services shall be as announced on the event Day.
- 7.9.2 Any animal first aid or animal care support provided at the event venue is intended solely as an emergency or supportive service and does not constitute comprehensive veterinary diagnosis, treatment, medication, hospitalization, or other professional veterinary services.
- 7.9.3 If a dog owner observes that a dog is injured, unwell, overheated, dehydrated, excessively panting, lame, fearful, or exhibiting abnormal behavior, the dog owner must immediately cease participation and notify event staff.
- 7.9.4 Where reasonably necessary, the dog owner authorizes the Organiser to arrange basic first aid, temporary isolation, transportation to the nearest veterinary clinic, or any other reasonable emergency measures for the protection of the dog or the safety of other persons.
- 7.9.5 Unless otherwise required by applicable law, all costs relating to veterinary care, medical treatment, medication, transportation, hospitalization, and any subsequent treatment shall be borne solely by the dog owner.
- 7.9.6 If the dog owner cannot be contacted immediately, the Organiser shall have the right, in an emergency, to take such action as it reasonably considers necessary and appropriate under the circumstances.
- 7.9.7 Dog owners are advised to obtain appropriate pet insurance and third-party liability insurance. The Organiser’s public liability insurance, if any, does not imply or guarantee coverage for a dog's illness, injury, death, loss, veterinary expenses, medical costs, or damage to personal property.
7.10 Injury and Damage Caused by Dogs
- 7.10.1 Dog owners shall be solely responsible for any personal injury, injury to or death of any dog, property loss or damage, damage to the event venue, third-party claims, medical or veterinary expenses, and any other loss, damage, cost, or expense arising from or caused by their dogs.
- 7.10.2 If a dog bites, scratches, knocks over, jumps on, or otherwise causes i njury to any person or animal, the dog owner must immediately regain control of the dog, provide reasonable assistance in dealing with the incident, and cooperate fully with the Organiser, the Hong Kong Police Force, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, and any other relevant law enforcement or public health authority, including the provision of information as requested.
- 7.10.3 Dog owners shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Organiser, co- organisers, sponsors, venue providers, contractors, event staff, and any other relevant persons against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or in connection with the acts, omissions, negligence, misconduct, or breach of these Terms and Conditions by the dog owner or the dog.
- 7.10.4 The Organiser shall not be liable for any illness, pre-existing health condition, fatigue, injury, loss, disappearance, or death of any dog, any conflict between dogs, or any loss or damage arising from a dog owner's failure to exercise proper control over a dog.
- 7.10.5 Nothing in this Section shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
7.11 Lost Dogs and Identification
- 7.11.1 Dog owners must ensure that their dogs wear a secure collar or harness at all times and carry identification information sufficient to identify both the dog and its owner.
- 7.11.2 In the event that a dog becomes lost, the Dog Owner must immediately notify the event Information Counter, security personnel, or event staff, and provide a photograph of the dog together with its name, breed, color, and any other identifying information.
- 7.11.3 The Organiser may provide reasonable assistance in responding to incidents involving lost dogs where practicable to do so. However, the Organiser does not guarantee that a lost dog will be located or recovered and shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense arising from or in connection with a dog becoming lost.
7.12 Refusal of Participation and Disqualification
- 7.12.1 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse a dog entry into the event area, disqualify a dog or dog owner from participation, or require the dog and/or dog owner to leave the event immediately, without refund or compensation, if any of the following circumstances apply:

• The dog owner fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Event Rules, venue regulations, or any instructions issued by event staff;
• The dog is not secured by an appropriate leash, or the dog owner is unable to maintain proper control of the dog;
• The dog is not wearing a required muzzle in accordance with event requirements;
• The dog poses a safety risk to any person, other dog, or the event venue;
• The dog exhibits signs of illness, injury, excessive fatigue, or any other condition indicating that participation may be unsafe;
• The dog owner fails to clean up and properly dispose of the dog's waste;
• The dog owner engages in disruptive, dangerous, abusive, coercive, cruel, or otherwise inappropriate treatment of a dog;
• The dog owner provides false, incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information;
• The dog owner brings more than one dog to participate in the event without the Organiser's prior approval; or
• Any other circumstance where the Organiser reasonably considers it necessary to protect the safety, welfare, or interests of Participants, dogs, event staff, or members of the public.

8.1 World Vision strictly tolerates no violence against children and adults in events organised by us, including any form of abuse and exploitation. We strictly prohibit anyone from abusing power, status, or trusted identity, or exploiting potential safety vulnerabilities in the environment to achieve any form of abuse and exploitation of others.

Personal data provided by you upon registering for this event will be used by our organisation and commissioned relevant service providers (such as registration platforms, timing chip companies, insurance companies, etc.) for the following purposes:

• Processing registration, payment, categorisation, and result records for this event;
• Verify the identity of participants and dog owners;
• Arranging distribution of event supplies (such as commemorative T-shirts, race packs, runner bibs);
• Process registrations, participant grouping, and safety management for the Charity Dog Agility Competition and the 1 km Dog Fun Walk;
• Contact participants, dog owners, or their emergency contacts in the event of an emergency;
• Disseminating latest information, pre-race guides, and results announcements for this event;
• Issuing donation receipts (where applicable);
• Handle accidents, injuries, complaints, claims, and other incidents arising from or in connection with the event;
• Conduct statistical analysis and research relating to the event for the purpose of improving the quality of future events;
• Process information relating to dogs that is necessary for event administration and safety management, including the dog's name, breed, age, sex, health records, behavioral information, microchip details, license information, and vaccination records;
• Subject to the Participant's separate consent, provide information relating to poverty alleviation, fundraising initiatives, and educational programmes and activities.

Providing personal data is voluntary. However, if you fail to provide sufficient and accurate necessary data (fields marked with an asterisk or indicated as required), our organisation may be unable to complete your registration procedure, thereby potentially resulting in your inability to participate in this event.

Our organisation will not transfer or disclose your personal data to any third party except under the following circumstances:

• Disclose necessary information to third-party service providers assisting in the operation of the event, including, without limitation, IT system maintenance providers, timing service providers, courier companies, and payment platform operators;
• In the event of an emergency or other incident, disclose necessary information to venue management, security personnel, the Hong Kong Police Force, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, government authorities, or other law enforcement and public health agencies;
• Disclose information where required under applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or pursuant to requests from government authorities or law enforcement agencies in Hong Kong;
• Disclose necessary information to relevant parties for the purpose of handling accidents, injuries, dog bite incidents, complaints, claims, or other emergencies.

• Photography and video recording will be conducted during the event.
• You agree that our organisation has the right to use your portrait, photos, video, or audio recorded during the event for publicity, promotional, website display, and publication purposes of our organisation and this event without paying any fee to you or obtaining prior consent.
• Dog owners participating in the dog events with their dogs' consent to the Organiser and its authorized representatives photographing, filming, or otherwise recording the dogs and dog owners, and to the use of such images, recordings, and footage for event records, publicity, promotional, fundraising, social media, website, and publication purposes.

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or updates to your personal data held by our organisation at any time. • I confirm that I am in good physical condition, free from any injuries or diseases making me unfit to participate in this event, and have not been diagnosed by a registered practicing medical practitioner as unfit to participate in this event.
• I confirm that I have fully assessed the relevant risks of this event and confirm that I possess sufficient physical fitness and capability to participate in this event.
• I confirm understanding of the event content and nature, and confirm that my health status is suitable for participating in this event as it requires physical exertion. The Organiser advises participants to pay close attention to whether their physical condition is suitable to continue participating during the event. If feeling unwell, please stop immediately and seek help from on-site staff.
• I promise to stop the competition immediately and seek assistance if experiencing any physical discomfort during the event.
• If I lose capacity due to accident, injury, or other reasons during the event, I agree to accept first aid, medical care, and hospital transfer arranged by the Organiser. Relevant medical expenses and follow-up expenditures shall be borne by myself.
• I agree that event staff have the right to evaluate my physical condition. If the Organiser reasonably suspects that my physical condition is unsuitable for participation, it reserves the right to cancel eligibility, and I will accept the Organiser's decision.
• I confirm understanding that individuals who are pregnant or suffer from chronic diseases (e.g., heart disease and hypertension) are not recommended to participate in this event.

• I clearly understand that participating in this event involves certain risks (including but not limited to property loss, personal injury, or death) and agree to assume all risks and liabilities arising from participating in this event.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, I agree that the Organiser, co-organisers, sponsors, venue providers, and relevant personnel do not need to assume any legal liability or provide compensation for any loss, injury, or damage caused by participants' own actions, health conditions, or other factors.
• The Organiser has purchased Public Liability Insurance. To safeguard personal safety, participants should purchase personal accident insurance and other suitable insurance according to their needs.

If I participate in any dog events with a dog, I further acknowledge, confirm and agree that:

• I am duly authorized and entitled to represent, handle, and be responsible for the registered dog participating in the event;
• I have assessed the dog's age, health, fitness, temperament, and behavior, and confirm that the dog is suitable to participate in the Charity Dog Agility Competition or the 1 km Dog Fun Walk;
• I confirm that the dog complies with all applicable Hong Kong legal requirements, including those relating to dog licensing, microchipping, vaccination, leash control, muzzling, and any other relevant obligations;
• I understand that dog events may involve risks associated with running, walking, jumping, climbing, obstacles, crowded conditions, noise, unfamiliar persons, and contact with other dogs;
• I undertake to maintain proper control and supervision of the dog at all times during the Event and to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Event Rules, venue regulations, and all instructions issued by event staff;
• Should the dog exhibit signs of illness, injury, overheating, dehydration, excessive fatigue, fear, or aggressive behavior, I will immediately cease participation and seek assistance from event staff;
• I agree to bear all veterinary, medical, transportation, damage, claims, and other related costs and expenses arising from or in connection with the dog's participation in the event;
• I agree to accept responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, or harm caused by the dog to any person, animal, venue, or third-party property and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to indemnify the Organiser and its partners against any related claims, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses;
• I acknowledge that the Organiser reserves the right, on grounds of safety, animal welfare, health, behavior, weather conditions, or venue circumstances, to refuse a dog's participation, suspend participation, or require me to remove the dog from the event, without refund or compensation.

• I agree to photography, video recording, and audio recording by the Organiser and its authorised persons during the event.
• I authorise the Organiser and its designated entities to use photos, videos, or audio recordings containing my portrait, voice, image, and race performance for publicity, promotion, website display, and publication purposes of our organisation and this event without notice or payment of remuneration.
