The first Global 6K for Water event in Hong Kong was successfully held on 8 December 2024. We thank all participants for showing their care and solidarity by taking a step for children lacking access to clean water and raising funds for World Vision’s work in Africa to bring practical help.

Water is essential for survival. However, until this day, numerous children around the world are still trekking 6km on average every day, just to fetch water sufficient for their families’ consumption.
To raise public awareness towards this issue, we are introducing the widely popular Global 6K to Hong Kong, so that you can team up with your family and friends to help communities experiencing shortage of water.
Every step you take can make a difference in children’s lives, removing such arduous journeys for them and enabling them to experience real and lasting change! While participating in the event yourself, please also encourage your family and friends to join your cause by making a donation to support World Vision’s water, sanitation and hygiene efforts in Africa, so that more children can access clean water*.
