敘利亞戰事爆發至今,即將踏入第6個年頭,無情的戰火摧毀了無數敘利亞孩子和他們的家庭。世界宣明會於1月21日與近百個人道救援組織的領袖發布聯署,呼籲世界各國的人民一同發聲,要求有能力終止敘利亞危機的各方,盡快達成停火協議,並立刻採取4項實際行動,不要讓敘利亞人民承受更多的苦難。宣明會並呼籲市民在社交平台上「Like」或向更多人分享這篇聯署,支持敘利亞的人民。
另外,敘利亞戰事將於今年3月15日踏入第6個年頭,宣明會將於3月13日在將軍澳運動場舉行第3屆「為敘利亞孩子起跑」活動,旨在呼籲大家關心因內戰失去家園,流離失所千多萬的敘利亞難民及孩子,邀請大家抽時間,一個人或一家人或一班朋友,出來跑跑,給敘利亞難民及孩子打氣、發聲。

三年前,聯合國的人道救援機構領袖聯合作出緊急呼籲,要求有能力終止敘利亞危機的人,攜手拯救敘利亞的人民。他們說:「那些苦難及流血已經夠了!」
三年過去了。
敘利亞的戰爭即將踏入第6個年頭。敘利亞人民所受的苦難,所流的血,從未止息。
所以今日,多個人道救援組織及聯合國機構的領袖,攜手呼籲各國政府,以及每一個你,與我們一起發聲,要求結束這一場大屠殺,並呼籲各方盡快達成停火協議,邁向和平的道路。
這個世界需要聽到我們一致的聲音,要求停止這場暴行,因為這場衝突觸及到我們每一個人。
它觸及到那些在敘利亞喪失了摯親及生計,那些被迫離開家園,那些被軍隊圍困、活在絕望中的人。現時在敘利亞,有超過1350萬人急需人道救援。這不僅是一個數據。在這個冰冷的數字背後,是一個個有血有肉的人,他們的性命及未來正受到極大威脅。
它觸及到那些孤注一擲,以身犯險,逃難往異鄉的家庭。戰事發生至今,已迫使超過460萬人逃難至鄰近及遠方國家。
它觸及到一整代兒童及年輕人,他們當中有愈來愈多人,因為缺乏教育及飽受恐怖經歷的創傷,在未來裡只見到暴力。
它觸及到那些距離敘利亞很遠,卻見到這場危機所引起的暴力惡果,出現在近在咫尺的街道上、辦公室及餐廳裡的人。
它亦觸及到世界上那些因為這場危機,有形無形地遭受到經濟損失的人。
那些有能力終止這場苦難的人可以,並應該,立刻採取行動。在覓得外交解決辦法之前,他們應採取以下行動:
