Senior Communications Officer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support fundraising campaigns in achieving target income goals through strategic and persuasive copywriting
  • Craft compelling fundraising copy in omni-channels, including email, F2F, social media and other online channels
  • Ensure all messaging is original, heartfelt, and rooted in human empathy
  • Collaborate with planners, digital and event teammates to align messaging with campaign goals
  • Develop donor-centric narratives that inspire action and build emotional connection
  • Conduct research to understand target audiences and tailor messaging
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency and brand alignment
  • Optimize copy by performance metrics, e.g. open rate, click through rate and conversion
  • Contribute creative ideas to improve donor engagement and retention
  • Be on standby to support urgent natural disaster appeals with rapid-response messaging and donor communication

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated passion for serving vulnerable communities, aligned with World Vision's mission
  • Commitment to World Vision's core values
  • Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in nonprofit or fundraising contexts
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills
  • Understanding of donor journey and persuasive writing techniques
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to details and commitment to quality
  • Knowledge of church culture, language and values to ensure messaging resonates with faith-based audiences
  • Flexible and willing to support during weekends, public holidays, or nighttime when urgent appeals or disaster response communications are needed
