As a child-focused Christian humanitarian organization, World Vision Hong Kong is committed to working to create lasting change in the lives of children, families and communities living in poverty. We serve the poor as a demonstration of God's unconditional love for all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.  At present, World Vision Hong Kong and its partnership offices are working in nearly 100 countries.

Public Education Officer (Kindergarten)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement awareness campaign and public education programs to promote students’ understanding of global poverty issues
  • Cultivate a conviction in caring of the poor among kindergarten students through talks, simulation activities and education resources
  • Design and develop presentation materials and educational resources for kindergarten
  • Engage with schools to build and cultivate relationship, and promote World Vision’s ministries
  • Support corporate functions and other department duties

Requirements:

  • Identify with World Vision’s mission and core values in serving the poor
  • Has a strong passion for children and a caring heart for the poor.  Sensitive to the development and global poverty issues
  • Degree holder, preferably with training in early childhood education or life education
  • At least 3 years of working experience in related profession.  Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Public Education Officer
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  Confidence in delivering talks in front of large groups, conducting discussions, and leading workshops and simulated activities among children
  • Quick learner, self-motivated and good attention to details
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • On renewable contract term for the initial two years. Candidates with satisfactory performance may convert to permanent employment afterwards based on business needs
