Media & Public Relations Officer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the media and public relations to maintain good reputation of World Vision Hong Kong as the voice of the poor in the public through corporate and organization's news, marketing campaign, emergency relief, public education and advocacy planning
  • Propose creative media angle to pitch for media interviews and write feature articles to increase the brand awareness
  • Assist the department head to enhance media and public relations function, including strengthen media relations especially with new online media partners
  • Handle media inquiries with special attention to natural disasters and potential media crisis

Job Requirements:
  • A strong passion for serving the poor and needy
  • Bachelor Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related discipline
  • With at least 3 years related experience in public relations or related areas.  Strong media network will be an advantage
  • Experience in dealing with both tradition and online media editors and/or reporters, celebrities and PR agencies is a plus
  • Outgoing and have good interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • On renewable contract term for the initial two years. Candidates with satisfactory performance may convert to permanent employment afterwards based on business needs
