Fundraising Officer (12-month contract)

Job Responsibilities:

- Sign up monthly supporters to help vulnerable children affected by poverty, disasters, conflicts, and hunger.
- Be on standby to support urgent or ad-hoc fundraising events during humanitarian crises.
- Present World Vision’s global mission and projects to the public at outdoor venues, shopping malls, and other high-traffic locations.
- Open dialogue with the public, raise awareness of World Vision’s work, and strengthen community relationships.
- Represent World Vision at events, campaigns, and public activities to maximize visibility and engagement.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing F2F fundraising activities, including venue arrangements and materials preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of donor pledges, campaign outcomes, and personal performance metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to share best practices and improve public engagement outcomes.

Job Requirements:

- Genuine respect for people and a strong passion to serve vulnerable children and families affected by poverty, disasters, conflicts, and hunger.
- Prior experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or customer engagement
-Strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills; ability to engage diverse audiences in busy public settings.
- Be resilient in public-facing roles, and ability to work under acquisition targets.
- Working in outdoor venues, shopping malls, and other public spaces, often engaging with large crowds.
- Willingness to adapt to campaign needs, including urgent or ad-hoc events, and varying work locations.
- Sensitive to potential risks in public engagement and committed to safeguarding World Vision’s reputation.
- Consistently represent World Vision positively, upholding the organisation’s values and integrity at all times.
- Proficiency in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Work on weekends and public holidays is required if necessary
- Knowledge of public fundraising permit requirements and guidelines will be considered an advantage
