Analyst Programmer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior System Analyst, applying agile ways of working, including regular team check-ins and planning, to enhance, test, and implement web and business applications.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web and business applications in line with approved requirements, architecture, and development standards.
  • Develop and optimize MS SQL queries, stored procedures, and scheduled jobs.
  • Develop and maintain SSRS and Power BI reports to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Develop, support, and test system integrations using RESTful APIs, SDKs, and industry-standard tools such as Postman.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve application issues to maintain system availability and service quality.
  • Monitor web application performance and ensure compliance with security best practices, organizational IT policies, change controls, and PCI DSS requirements for payment-related systems.
  • Maintain technical documentation and use Git and CI/CD pipelines to manage code changes, testing, and deployments.
  • Use approved generative AI and AI-assisted development tools for coding, code review, testing, debugging, documentation, reporting, and workflow automation, while independently validating outputs for accuracy, quality, and security.
  • Support the prototyping, integration, testing, and maintenance of AI-enabled solutions through approved cloud services and APIs, in compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, safeguarding, and responsible AI requirements.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in programming, application development, or application support.
  • Proven working knowledge of Git, source control practices, and structured software development processes.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft-centric technology environment; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM is preferred.

    Core technical skills
  • MS SQL, including queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
  • C# development using ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core.
  • JavaScript and TypeScript for modern web application development.
  • RESTful APIs, JSON, system integration, and API testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Web application support, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

    Reporting and automation
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server Agent jobs, SSRS report development, and Power BI report development and support.

    AI capabilities and responsible use
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools across the software development lifecycle, including coding, code review, testing, debugging, technical documentation, and workflow automation.
  • Working knowledge of integrating cloud-based AI services through REST APIs or SDKs, including response validation, output evaluation, error handling, and secure data processing.
  • Ability to independently review, test, and validate AI-generated code and outputs before use in production environments.

    Preferred knowledge
  • Exposure to Node.js, Python, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, and one or more major cloud AI platforms or services is an advantage but not mandatory.
