Xiao Yang's parents have moved to Beijing with her daughter in search of a better life. Xiao Yang faces problem going to public school. Jiawei suffered from life-threatening congenital heart disease. She was so weak that she could not play with other children. She has now recovered after a heart surgery subsidised by World Vision. Her parents no longer need to move to the city to earn her medical fees. The little girl can now go to school. Being reunited with her parents makes her happiest of all.

Jianbo, who suffers from cerebral palsy, used to be a silent and unhappy boy. But with World Vision's support, the social welfare institute where Jianbo lives could provide regular rehabilitation training for children with special needs. Being one of the beneficiaries, Jianbo has grown stronger and smiles all the time.
- Build water cellars and water supply facilities, as well as leveraging natural resources, for examples, biogas and solar energy to improve the livelihoods of villagers
- Set up children and youth centres to provide support for left-behind children in rural areas and street children in cities
- Provide vocational training for rural migrant workers to help them make a living
Since World Vision helped Mrs. He and her family to install a biogas system, they learnt how to utilise human and animal waste for generating power. Mrs. He says, "The biogas system brings us convenience on cooking and lighting. Now I have more time to take care of my grandson."
