VisionFund

VisionFund is the microfinance subsidiary of World Vision.
In 2003, VisionFund International was established by World Vision as a wholly owned subsidiary to oversee World Vision's microfinance work.

Your donation to VisionFund provides the entrepreneurial poor with financial services that help them establish or expand a small, self-sustaining business.

A hand up not a hand out

VisionFund is an important tool for the eradification of poverty and hunger. Through profitable and growing businesses, families can afford:

  • more nutritious food
  • safer housing
  • adequate healthcare

As businesses grow, parents can:

  • send their children to school
  • save for emergencies
  • pay for ongoing services such as clinics, schools and water wells
  • offer jobs to the community

“We borrowed money from VisionFund to buy goods to sell. Since then, my family has experienced a better standard of living. I have a new house, pigs, cows and a motorbike…For my children, I want them to stay in education until they get employed.”
