World Vision began helping orphans in Macau as early as the 1960s. In 1991, World Vision started raising funds for local and overseas emergency relief, including the Fai Chi Kei Fire Disaster of Macau, the Bangladesh Cyclone Relief and the Eastern China Flood Relief.
World Vision of Macau Association was officially established in 1993 to further mobilise the people of Macau to care for the needy and to donate in support of World Vision’s relief work around the world. It also organises famine activities and school talks to raise public awareness about the needs of developing countries.
Famine Campaigns
Join us to experience hunger and raise funds to save millions of people in East Africa!
Public Education
Through talks, visits, study tours and parent-child activities organised for schools, corporations, churches and the local community, the public can learn more about global issues of poverty and development, and care for the needy.
Sponsor Gatherings
World Vision regulary organises Sponsor Gatherings. Through a series of videos, workshops, sharings from sponors and Q & A sessions, etc, sponsors learn more about the ministries of World Vision. Donors, their friends and relatives are welcome to join the gatherings. (The gatherings are conducted in Cantonese.)
