People often say that a pandemic is a war without smoke. Lately, we have experienced the fear and anxiety that it brings, which should allow us to identify more with the helplessness and terror among the people in war zones.
Regardless of their lengths, wars can leave an impact that last for several generations, with children often being the most affected. They are the most vulnerable group and are at an age when they should be learning, exploring and growing, but this precious period has been ruthlessly taken away by war. Even though they survive, what has been taken away from them can never be fully compensated.
Together, We Can Rebuild Their FutureAs a child-focused humanitarian organisation, World Vision has been running education and child protection programmes in socially unstable regions. Under the current pandemic, our frontline workers are still faithfully performing their duties, continuing to serve children in a safe manner. Likewise, you can also do your part by giving to help us improve the well-being of children living in conflict areas, helping them walk out of their dark past and into a brighter future. We may be ordinary, but when we come together, we can make an extraordinary impact on their lives.
