Senior Church Relations Officer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with churches and Christian leaders to promote World Vision ministries and cultivate long-term partnerships on international development, local programmes and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Design and implement awareness campaigns and education programs to promote Christians’ understanding on global poverty issues and enhance their commitment to caring for the vulnerable children around the world.
  • Design and develop presentation materials, education and prayer resources for churches.
  • Deliver talks, organize experiential activities, trips and different formats of collaboration with churches and Christian communities.
  • Support corporate functions and other department duties

Job Requirements:

  • Identify with World Vision’s mission and core values.  Has a strong passion for vulnerable children, and a caring heart for the poor. Sensitive to development and global poverty issues.
  • Degree holder. Seminary training/Christian studies is with advantage
  • Possess a solid understanding of local church contexts and networks, and the ability to engage Christian communities of different traditions. 5 years of working experience in related profession or business development for Christians organizations/NGOs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Confidence in speaking in front of large groups, and leading discussions, workshops and activities for different age groups.
  • Proactive and self-motivated. Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
  • On renewable contract term for the initial two years. Candidates with satisfactory performance may convert to permanent employment afterwards based on business needs.
