Senior Public Education Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of awareness programs, educational services, and engagement activities to enhance secondary and university students' understanding of global poverty issues and World Vision (WV) ministries.
• Actively seek and write proposals for funding resources to support these initiatives.
• Foster a commitment to caring for the poor among students through school talks, simulation activities, workshops, leadership programs, local and international visits, university placements, internships, and additional educational resources.
• Engage with schools and external partners to build effective partnerships that promote WV ministries and fundraising initiatives.
• Support corporate functions and fulfill other departmental duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Identify with World Vision’s mission and core values in serving the poor.
• Has a strong passion for local teenagers and a caring heart for the world’s most vulnerable girls and boys. Solid understanding on humanitarian, development and global poverty issues.
• Degree holder, preferably with training in humanities, development, social science, education or public affairs.
• At least 3 years of working experience in a related profession. Experience in managing youth engagement projects, fundraising and funding initiatives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills. Confidence in delivering talks in front of large groups and facilitating experiential workshops among youngsters.
• Open-minded, self-motivated and good attention to details.
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
