Public Education Officer 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement awareness campaigns, education programs, youth engagement activities and overseas visits, with an aim to promote students’ understanding of global poverty issues
  • Cultivate a conviction in caring for the poor among international school students and secondary school students through talks, simulation games, group discussions and other education resources
  • Engage with schools, youth organizations and external partners to build effective relationship and promote World Vision ministries
  • Support corporate functions and department duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Identify with World Vision's mission and core values in serving the poor
    A strong passion for Hong Kong teenagers and a caring heart for the world’s most vulnerable girls and boys.  Sensitive to humanitarian, development and global poverty issues
  • Degree holder, preferably with training in Humanities, Development, Social Science, Life Education or Communications
  • At least 3 years of working experience in related profession. Candidate with less experience will be considered for Assistant Public Education Officer
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  Confidence in delivering talks in front of large groups, and leading discussions and simulated activities among teenagers
  • A people person, self-motivated and good attention to details
    Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • On renewable contract term for the initial two years. Candidates with satisfactory performance may convert to permanent employment afterwards based on business needs
