Mega floods leave thousands homelessLast Update：2018/08/20
Since June this year, the state of Kerala in southern India has been hit by extremely severe floods of a scale unrivalled in almost a century. As of now, more than 300 lives have been lost and 800,000 have been displaced.
World Vision staff has already started relief operation, including food distribution and establishment of child friendly spaces to meet children’s psychological needs. We will continue to dispatch relief items such as hygiene packs and daily necessities, as well as providing shelters for the affected, with a view to benefiting 20,000 households.
