Public Education Officer / Assistant Public Education Officer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement awareness campaigns, education programs, youth engagement activities and overseas visits, with an aim to promote students’ understanding of global poverty issues
  • Cultivate a conviction in caring for the poor among secondary students through talks, simulation activities, group discussion, presentations and other education resources
  • Engage with schools, youth organizatoins and external partners to build and cultivate effective relationship, and promote World Vision ministries
  • Support corporate events and other department duties

Job Requirements:

  • Identify with World Vision's mission and core values in serving the poor
  • A strong passion for Hong Kong teenagers and a caring heart for the world’s most vulnerable girls and boys.  Sensitive to humanitarian, development and global poverty issues
  • Degree holder, preferably with training in Humanities, Development, Social Science, Life Education or Communications
  • At least 3 years of working experience in related profession. Experience in managing youth engagement project preferred.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Public Education Officer
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  Confidence in speaking in front of a large group, and leading discussions, workshops and simulated activities among youngsters
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • On renewable contract term for the initial two years. Candidates with satisfactory performance may convert to permanent employment afterwards based on business needs
