Assistant Public Education Manager (Youth Ministry)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of awareness programmes, education services and engagement activities to promote secondary and university students’ understanding of global poverty issues and WV ministries.
  • Cultivate a conviction in caring for the poor among students’ through school talks, famine and simulation activities, workshops, leadership programmes, local and overseas visits, placement and internship opportunities, and other education activities and resources.
  • Engage with schools and external partners to cultivate effective partnership and promote WV ministries and fundraising initiatives.
  • Lead and coach members in the PEY team to ensure efficient and quality programme delivery.
  • Support corporate functions and other department duties as required.


Job Requirements:

  • Identify with World Vision’s mission and core values in serving the poor.
  • Has a strong passion for local teenagers and a caring heart for the world’s most vulnerable girls and boys. Solid understanding on humanitarian, development and global poverty issues.
  • Degree holder, preferably with training in humanities, development, social science, education or public affairs.
  • At least 6 years of working experience in a related profession.  Experience in managing youth engagement projects and excursion activities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  Confidence in delivering talks in front of large groups and facilitating experiential workshops among youngsters.
  • An engaging leader, open-minded, self-motivated and good attention to details
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • On renewable contract term for the initial two years. Candidates with satisfactory performance may convert to permanent employment afterwards based on business needs.
