Aiming to provide every child with nutritious food and help them grow healthy and to their full potential, World Vision executes food emergency relief and long-term community development programmes for millions of people in many vulnerable countries.
Emergency Relief
- As the largest global distributor of the World Food Programme food aid, World Vision provides nearly 45,000 metric tones in 30 countries annually to address critical current needs of hungry children and their families.
Long-term Food Security
- Empower farmers by boosting their local agricultural productivity through methods such as crop diversification and improved irrigation facilities.
- Provide training in livestock breeding so that children can benefit from a greater output of nutritious food such as meat, eggs and dairy products, and villagers would have an additional source of income.
- Inform mothers on ways to improve their children’s health and nutrition by adopting alternative cooking methods.
