World Vision has carried out emergency relief work in China since 1982. In 2010, World Vision Hong Kong supported 98 relief and development projects, benefiting over 3.57 million people, of which 63 projects are funded by World Vision China Partners, benefiting approximately 780,000 people:
World Vision:
- employs around 800 staff in China
- is in charge of planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of development programmes
- maintains close cooperation and relationship with local communities and government officials
