Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti in early October, causing severe floods, and destruction of houses, schools, farmland and infrastructure. Over 1,000 people have been killed and approximately 2 million people are affected. In early November, heavy rainfall caused flooding in northern Haiti, worsening the situation of many who were already in dire need.

World Vision has provided assistance for over 70,000 people, including:

  • Distribution of food or provision of cash assistance for more than 37,000 people
  • Provision of hygiene and household items for over 14,000 families
  • Set up Child Friendly Spaces to provide psychosocial support for over 700 children

  • With your generous support, people affected by the disaster are receiving assistance gradually. World Vision will continue the response to benefit an estimated 230,000 people, including 63,000 children.

Please donate to help children and families affected by the hurricane!
