Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti in early October, causing severe floods, and destruction of houses, schools, farmland and infrastructure. Over 1,000 people have been killed and approximately 2 million people are affected. In early November, heavy rainfall caused flooding in northern Haiti, worsening the situation of many who were already in dire need.
