Recommended Activities

World Vision looks forward to cooperating fully with businesses and organisations, developing specially tailored, creative activities to motivate staff spirit and to help increase your image as a socially responsible business or organisation. We suggest the following ways to get involved:

Sponsor a Child

Staff members can sponsor children in developing countries either individually or as a group. This can enhance staff relationships as they can discuss their sponsorship experience through sharing their correspondence with their sponsored children, and encouraging each other to care for children in need.

Fundraising

We encourage businesses and organisations to hold charity sales or other fundraising events such as concerts or movie premiers. Funds raised can be donated to World Vision projects to help the poor. The image of your business or organisation will be enhanced due to positive exposure to the public through these activities.

Direct Donation

We welcome direct donations from your business or organization, or donations from the staff. Such donations support World Vision’s work among those living in poverty, and may aid specific projects such as building a school or providing clean water supply. Not only will you be helping children living in poverty but you will also enjoy the benefits of tax exemption.

Donation to VisionFund

We welcome donations from your business or organization, to provide microfinance services for impoverished people in developing countries to start or expand a small, self-sustaining business, while empowering them to work their own way out of poverty. (Details)

Promotion

Businesses and organisations can help promote World Vision’s work through your public websites, magazines, TV or video wall, newsletters, and emails or letters to clients. This can create a positive image for your business or organisation and also reduce World Vision’s promotional expenses, enabling us to channel more funds to those in need.

Donations in lieu of Gifts for Special Occasions

You can invite business partners, organisations or guests to donate to World Vision in lieu of gifts for special occasions, such as holiday celebrations, annual functions, store openings or sports day, giving them an opportunity to join you in helping those in need.

Lend your Venues

Shopping centres or residential estates can be lent to World Vision for holding promotional activities, the aims of which are to encourage the general public to show concern and take action for destitute children and families in developing countries.

Donation Boxes

We welcome businesses and organisations to place World Vision donation boxes in shops or retail chain stores to collect funds for children in need or for communities affected by disasters.
